Big Weekend for the Philly GBs

The first weekend in October was big for the Philadelphia Ghostbusters!

edFirst, on Friday night, member Ed Hartman received an amazing birthday gift… a new proton pack!  His wife commissioned PGB member Matt Burkit to build it for him, as it was a gift from her and his family!  Ed did a write-up about his expereince on

groupEd was able to use his new pack on Saturday, as the PGB attended their Walk For Autism Speaks event, in which they raised almost $3,000 over the previous few months!  The PGB were very proud to be present and had a blast.

ectoThen the PGB attened the Laureldale Parade with new member Dan Tyson and his Ecto-1!  The support form the crowd was great!

Getting to know your Ghostbusters! Part Six: Ed Hartman

edWelcome back! The sixth segment here is a couple of days behind due to our busy weekend at Wizard World! For those of you who may be new to these segments please go back and read up on the 5 previous “Getting to Know” segments!

This time around we bring you the mastermind behind and one of the two administrators on our Facebook page….Ed Hartman!

PGB: Ed, tell us a little about you. Who are you? What do you do besides Ghostbusting? Do you have any other hobbies or interests?

Ed: I’m 31 years old and live in Bristol, PA. I’ve been married for 4 years and have a one-year old son named Ryan. I’m a Website Designer/Programmer and am pretty good with computers and technology. Hockey has been a passion of mine too. I’ve played hockey since I was 10 and am a big Flyers fan (despite the recent tragic loss in the finals). (more…)
